CII Telangana, Icrisat Explore Partnership In Agri, Food Processing

Hyderabad: During a panel discussion held at Icrisat campus, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Telangana and Icrisat (International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics) explored opportunities to collaborate in agriculture and food processing. Dr Stanford Blade, Interim Director General, Icrisat, said: “Icrisat and CII are natural partners in advancing agricultural and food processing innovation. The combined strengths of Icrisat’s research expertise and CII’s strong connections with industry, government, and civil society offer potential for driving sustainable development in India’s agricultural sector.”
Extending an invitation, Sai Prasad, Chairman, CII Telangana asked Icrisat to join CII’s Food and Agriculture panel. He emphasised on leveraging Icrisat’s research capabilities for furthering the growth of the agriculture sector in Telangana.
M Raghunandan Rao, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of Telangana stressed on mechanisation of agriculture to increase efficiencies and value addition that will support in increasing sustainability.
